Daily Roundup 5/20 – Updates from Yesterday’s Podcast, Netflix’s “The Fall of Favre” Drops Today, Katy Perry Concert Tmrw Night Rescheduled, and Misinformation Being Spread in the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” World

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve Podcast, I am your host reality. Steve, thank you all for tuning in on this Tuesday, today’s podcast. A lot of it is following up on stuff I talked about yesterday due to responses and things that have happened. We’re gonna talk about the number one question I got after yesterday’s podcast, an update to why I also didn’t watch the idle finale that I totally forgot to mention yesterday.

I have an update on the Katy Perry concert that I was supposed to go to tomorrow night and due to the Dallas Stars game, one got rescheduled. When did it get rescheduled to? I’ll tell you, I have an update on my plantar fasciitis, vibrating ball, another one, and I’m gonna talk about something I have yet to talk about on this podcast.

Slum w, SLA W, you know what that is? Secret. Lives of Mormon wives. Season two was just released yesterday, and I have to absolutely put a stop to something right now that I’ve seen now three times on the internet. And we’ll get to all that momentarily. Alright, the number one question I got after yesterday’s podcast was, Steve, why don’t you unpack when you get home and you don’t unpack until the next time you travel?

It’s a great question, one that I absolutely have no answer for. Now I will say, obviously I open up my suitcase to get my toiletries out ’cause I don’t have double sets of toiletries, but I leave everything else in there. And you know the crazy thing when I travel, I’ve got that zipper. I wouldn’t say this is crazy, but I’ve got that zipper in my suitcase where my dirty clothes, I put in that section of my suitcase and the stuff I don’t wear just stays in my suitcase.

But even when I get home, I don’t take either of ’em out and they just sit there until my next trip. So until this past Saturday when I finally opened up my suitcase from March, by the way, it also still had all its tags on it. It was all in there. Now, I went in March for three days to Vegas, but then I was in California for three days after that as well.

And it was just. One pair of sweats, t-shirts, shorts, and underwear. Basically, it wasn’t a ton in there. And I’ve got, you know, looking at my YouTube channel, you know how many t-shirts, I’ve got a shit ton over 50 with different eighties, nineties TV show and movie quotes on it. So that’s why. If I rotated the same five shirts, I probably would.

Second I got home, open my suitcase and take all the stuff out and put it in the hamper, but I don’t, and I just, it’s weird because I’ll also find myself saying, wait a second, where is that shirt? I know I have it. And the one place that I think of last is my suitcase. Perfect example will be this week’s weekly podcast.

I told you last week we were gonna interview Jen Sturger from the Fall of Fav documentary that came out today, which I’ll talk about in a second. Briefly. Jen Sturger is in it. She’s one of the subjects, one of the main subjects in it, and she’s gonna be the weekly podcast. I talked to her for 75 minutes yesterday, and if you have not heard her story or you don’t know her story, or even better yet.

Think you know her story. I suggest tuning in on Thursday for me, top five interview I’ve done. And not because of anything I did, but because, and I, am I being biased because Jen has been a friend for 10 years? Yes, I am. I don’t care if I’m being biased in this interview because nothing about the documentary, which I suggest you go check it out.

Today, dropped on Netflix today. It’s called Untold the Fall of Fav, and it’s about Brett Favre. And ladies, you can even get your boyfriend to watch this one because the first 10 to 15 minutes praise fav and talk about why he became such a God-like figure, not only in Wisconsin, but all around. You know what I’m interested in now that I just think about it, I, this just popped into my head.

I’m thinking out loud right now. You know, Nick Vial is from Wisconsin. Nick Vial is a Packer fan. He grew up loving the Packers during the NFL season. He’ll tweet about the Packers. I’m really curious to see what Nick Vial, if he has ever commented on this, and if he watches the fall of fav what his take is.

God forbid he comes after Jen Sturger, that it will not be a pleasant day for him on this podcast if he does. But I’m curious to see, and I’m not gonna listen to his podcast, so anybody that listens to Nick’s podcast, I have no problem with you. You can obviously listen to whatever you want, but I’m curious.

Let me know if he comments on Fall of Far. I know he’s gonna watch it. There’s no way he doesn’t. He’s a huge Packer fan. I’m just curious what his take is, and if he has the same take that pretty much all of America did in 2010 when the story broke with Jen. So anyway, getting back to my packing. Yeah. I just, I do not Oh.

In relating it to Wednesday to, to, to Thursday’s weekly podcast with Jen. One thing that you’ll learn about Jen is she’s a huge Star Wars slash back to the future nerd like myself. So you knew I was gonna wear one of my back to the future shirts. I’ve got, I think, six or seven of them different sayings from the movie and whatnot.

And there’s one that I have not worn yet and I realized, wait a second, I’ve never worn my You’re my density shirt. ’cause remember I was keeping track of all these, so I went back and looked. Ever since I started doing my YouTube channel, I’ve never worn my You’re My Density shirt. And the reason for that, even though I started my YouTube channel back in July, apparently this shirt was.

Somewhere else. And then it did bring it to Vegas in March and it’s been in there since March. But before that it must have been somewhere else. So I made sure, and it’s the first thing I talk about with Jen on the podcast Thursday, as you know, I had to wear one of my back to the future shirts for you, Jen.

And this one I haven’t worn in a while. I was thinking about going with the enchantment under the seat dance that I attended it, that shirt. I was like, no, I think I wore that a couple weeks ago on the podcast. My one point 21 gigawatt shirt. I think I wore that a month ago, but I have not worn in four, in 44 shows and all the live YouTubes that I’ve done never wore my year, my Density shirt.

So you’ll see that on Thursday’s podcast. Last night I was talking about American Idol. And how I missed the finale because we had a tornado watch and for the last 15 minutes, the A, b, C station out here just did not go back to the show and they had to update us on because it did hit down. There was some damage.

I was watching the news today. There was some damage in, not my city, but outlying cities that had some pretty bad damage. Some homes were ruined and some trees fell on cars and houses, so it really did. It was bad in some areas for me. Like I said, it just rained pretty hard for about a five to 10 minute run, and it was kind of windy, but it never got up to at least where I was, the 80, 70, 80 mile an hour winds that they were saying it was.

In some places, I’m too far inland. Like look, we get tornado warnings all the time where I am, I wouldn’t say all the time, but during weird weather season and.

I don’t wanna say I ignore them, but when you’re so far inland, it’s just very, very tough for those tornadoes to keep going over a city. It has to kind of usually be near the coast and you know, once it hits land and it goes so far inland, it just slows down. You could still have some high winds. I mean, I’ve been here when it’s been 50 mile an hour winds.

I don’t remember ever being in 70 or 80 though. But yeah, it just kind of passed through and it didn’t really affect me. But the o one thing that it did do was it knocked out my power for two seconds, but that power, everything went out in my house, and then everything came right back on two seconds later.

But that rebooted my tv. So even if A, B, C, and this happened about nine 50. Even if A B, C decided to go back to American Idol for the last 15 minutes of the show, I still wouldn’t have seen it because my TV was still rebooting. But I, I mean, I saw the clip on social media. Jamal Roberts won and he sang a song and everybody stood around him and the fireworks are going off in the background and the sparklers, whatever.

So congratulations to him. As I said, it’s just tough nowadays for American Idol winners. You go back to the last six years, I’m sure some of ’em have done well for their self. I can’t sit here and say I know exactly how all six of them have done. I’m sure they’ve done well for themselves, but I’m talking about it just doesn’t reach the levels of an of a Carry Underwood or a Clay Aiken or a Ruben Stutter, or a Fantasia Barrino.

It just doesn’t do that anymore. On the show, Jordan Sparks, Kelly Clarkson. The first six, seven year winners of this show. It just doesn’t, it doesn’t produce what it did because one, there’s more singing shows out there, and two, there’s just not as much attention on the show as there was back in the early two thousands when it was being watched by 35 million people a week.

Now guess what, four or five, 6 million viewers a week times have changed. We know this.
